Popping Sensation....

Hi fellow preggo mamas,
I am 35 weeks, 4 days pregnant today. Yesterday I started having a LOT of pain, like my baby had dropped right ON my pelvic bone. I have to waddle to be able to walk without pain and even then, I am sooooo uncomfortable. I was up about 10 times last night, needing to roll over to my other side and crying because it hurt so bad every time I tried. It's been like that all day today. While napping with my husband earlier, I finally decided to just forget it and get up.

I sat up and felt this weird popping sensation down there. I went downstairs to go pee and peed alot. There was no color in my pee- it was just clear in the toilet. I wiped and smelled and it smelled sweet, not like pee. So, did my water break? I am not having any more leaking of fluid or wetness down there, beyond what's normal for me. My other two boys were delivered by C-section(one at 36w, one at 37w) because of severe preeclampsia so I have NO experience with water breaking, labor, contractions, nothing. I have been approved to try for a VBA2C. I would appreciate any input anyone can give me. I would say my water broke, except there is no leakage now- at all and I was under the impression you continually leak, as the amniotic fluid is continually regenerating. Also, my toilet may have been running water, so maybe this diluted the color of my urine? My brain is going crazy. Advice would be much appreciated.

I don't really have any advice. I have had 2 very different experiences with my 2 babies. With DD2 I definitely heard/felt a weird popping. And it was my water breaking (everywhere). On the other hand, with DD1 my water broke but sealed itself back up a couple times so it didn't leak at all.

I hope some other mamas have better advice for you.

With my experience I wasn't able to control the gushing. The liquid came out when it wanted to (unlike peeing) and it was sporadic. It is very possible for the rupture to close back up. Keep us updated!

so far....so good.

Thanks ladies for your responses. I am pretty positive my water did not break. I am still not sure what that popping feeling was but everything else seems fine.

Liquidy discharge is normal for this stage. I have little gushes here and there and it is not amniotic fluid. If you can stand and it gushes then there is a good chance it is your waters.
