Have you tried this product or do you think it would work?

I haven't tried it. But, it sort of reminds me of those "human pheromone perfumes" some companies sell. Guaranteed to attract the other sex.

Obviously, it can't hurt any dog, so trying it isn't dangerous. I'm just very skeptical that this would have any effect whatsoever.

There have been a lot of people who have had good success with those...however I dont think they would fix big problems, but maybe help manage smaller ones

Here is what Patricia McConnell has to say about it:

Pheromone Therapy: I’ve had several clients who had good success with Dog Appeasing Pheromone, or DAP, which is an artificial replicate of the pheromone produced between the mammary glands of a lactating bitch. It is species-specific and has no detectable odor and has the huge advantage of requiring you to buy it and plug it in. Period. Perhaps the easiest behavioral treatment known to science. It has some good research behind it and I’ve recommended it to clients for several anxiety-related problems in dogs and cats (Feliway is the brand name of one of the feline versions) and I’d estimate that it appeared to be helpful in at least half of them

I have great respect for her. If you don't know who she is, you can learn more about her here. Anyone who owns dogs should read her books, IMO.

I tried one for my dog who had seperation anxiety and fireworks/noise stress and it didn't do a thing. She may have been too stressed for this to work for her but we ended up returning it.
