I think I officially did some "nesting"

At 2am. I went pee and I couldn't resist the urge to scrub the sink clean, it was really bothering me for some reason.

Then I reorganized the closet full of baby stuff, cleaned up the co-sleeper area and organized everything to get ready. Then I decided I should plus in the monitors around the house (even though I am going to be WITH baby all the time for a while). It was a chain reaction, one thing led to another. If I can keep this going tomorrow I can have the entire house organized! I'd really like to have a baby instead though.

This sudden burst of energy at this stage is a very good sign!
I really think that what some people call "nesting" weeks before labor, is more of a psychological need to have it all ready, not the actual crazy injection of adrenaline which comes on the onset of labor.
You going crazy at 2am at this point, it does sound like real nesting!
I hope you made sure to rest well afterwards though

I agree! I've been waiting for you baby too!!!

I remember with my first scrubbing my shower stall floor at like 11 pm wondering what the heck had gotten into me and DH was like what the heck are you doing??? I had the baby by 3 am! So I've got my fingers crossed for you!

ah. . . I'm envious. I have a cold and NO motivation (but strong, anxious desire) to clean & organize our bedroom.

That's great! I never got that, so we still don't have all his clothes and diapers organized and he's 6 days old!!!

I agree though, make sure you rest, in case this is it---I really hope it is!

Um, yeah... Anything done at 2 AM DEFINATELY counts as nesting. Even if it is picking up a piece of trash-lol!

Aww, fawnanddoe, I'm kinda jealous. I've been wanting to experience this nesting thing but it just hasn't happened. That said, I do feel the need to clean my bathroom but that's only cause I think it's gross right now.
