Help me identify these herbs!! UPDATED

So my bubble has been burst a little bit. I had grand plans for a beautiful medicinal herb garden. I spent money and put in work and build a raised bed garden with organic heirloom seeds. My plan was to dry the herbs and make tinctures to treat our sickness this winter. Well...the herbs grew beautifully and everything was trucking along just fine until....I discovered that my garden markers had washed off and that I had no idea what some of the herbs were! I used a permanent marker and wrote on wooden Popsicle sticks (in hindsight...not the best idea).

Not only that but I no longer have my order form so I'm not quite sure what all I ordered. I went back to the site (rareseed.com) and have pieced it together pretty well but when I look up photos of the herbs, they don't really look like what I have planted. I am attributing that to differences in variety.

Does anyone know of a website where I can post pictures of my herbs and have someone tell me what they are?

I am pretty good at identifying plants and I bet many of us are here. I bet I can tell you many and now I am curious! Post them please!

Post 'em here.

If you use Flickr, there's an ID Please group you can join.

I had the same problem. I found I wasn't able to ID online as most pics showed the plants fully grown and in full bloom. However, now that I know what they look like through all stages it's much easier to ID based on a small plant too if that makes sense.

So, yep, post the pics here!

I keep looking back for pics because I love identifying plants! But maybe OP isn't interested in doing that. Oh well! Off to my own gardens now.

I have pics and I am trying to get them tagged and in an album. I will post them shortly.

I hope this works, I have never done this before. Here is the album. I have them labeled "Plant One" and "Plant one Close", etc.

Here is the site where I ordered them. I think I ordered pretty much one of every herb that said it was "medicinal".

"Plant Three" is mixed in with cilantro...so if it looks odd down towards the bed, that is why. My cat decided to use my herb bed as a litter box soon after I planted the seeds and she got the seeds mixed up. So it is cilantro close to the grown and then another flower that is taller and blooming.

Plant one is cilantro! Use it before it blooms.

Here are a few ideas that I have but the photos I find online aren't really matching up to the plant:

blessed thistle
borage
feverfew
sweet annie
yarrow

I wish I had a list of what I actually ordered. I could better use the process of elimination then.

It looks like Cilantro but I don't think it is. I planted my Cilantro on the other side of my bed (with a walking path in between). It came up and there are some slight differences between the two plants.

Is it possible for me to see the pictures enlarged? I try to click on the photo but it still stays small and it is hard for me to see the actual plant.

what I think so far:
#1 is flat leaf (italian) parsley.
#2- hard to tell, maybe Tansy?
#3- did you plant Queen Anne's lace? It is that or something in the carrot family- dill?
#4- I can't tell from the picture- too small.
#5- yarrow

If #1 is parsley then that means that the one at the other end of the bed that I *thought* was parsley, isn't!

I didn't plant tansy or queen ann's lace.

There are 2 kinds of parsley- curly parsley which is what you normally think of as parsley, and flat leaf.
I may be able to do better if the pictures are bigger.

Can you tell again what you think some of them might be?
Do you think #3 is Dill?
Also- if you rub the leaves of any of them and smell that (smell the plant oil on your hand) that can help a lot.

You should be able to tell the difference between cilantro and parsley but tasting or smelling it

The Queen Anne's Lace looking herb could be caraway or cumin, but so could plant 2. I have a hard time judging the size of your plants. The easiest might be smelling them for identification.

5 looks could be yarrow. 4 could be oregano or marjoram, but it is hard to tell from this picture. Again, smell it and you should recognize the smell.

If it were the regular kitchen herbs I would recognize the smell. I know for certain where I planted the cilantro so I know that it is what it mixed in with the plant in photo three. I didn't plant it anywhere else. I only planted one type of parsley and I know where my oregano is.

Plant 3- Chamomile does it have yellow middle with white petals?
Or it could be feverfew, can't tell from the picture?

I have already identified my Chamomile so I am leaning towards it being Feverfew. Thanks everyone, keep it coming!
