got my membranes stripped today

and im feeling pretty crampy now. im 3 cm dialated and "soft like butter" according to my midwife. wish me luck!

I had mine stripped this past Wed, and got my hopes up way too high. I was an emotional wreck by Thurs night because nothing had happened yet (and still hasn't). So---hoping you have better luck than me!!!

yeah, im not putting all my eggs in this basket. with my dd i had it done 3 times and nothing happened. with ds, he was born 9 hours after the procedure. im not getting my hopes too high!

I'm going to see if my midwife wants to do it on Wednesday. I'll be nearly 39 weeks. Jumping the gun a bit, I know, but I'm ok with that.

Good luck! A couple of babies ago, I had a sweep at 39w when I was 3 cm and very soft; baby was born within 24 hours.

My ob's office is usually pretty firm about not doing sweeps until at least 39w. My appt this week is at 38w5d, so we'll see what he says... I'm getting anxious to get this baby out; I'm just afraid there's a problem (there is no evidence of one though).
