she's weaned!

It was hurting way too much to nurse, so this morning (not at a normal nursing time), I told DD that my nipples were broken and so there couldn't be any more nursing. She then asked if we could get some tape and fix them. I said no. She then asked if daddy could nurse. He said that daddies don't make milk.

Several hours later, we went to take a nap, which is a time she normally nurses. She didn't even ask. At bedtime, she asked, but when I reminded her they were broken so we would just cuddle, she didn't complain at all.

It was a great 33 months, I wouldn't have changed anything, but I'm glad we're done and glad that my body can focus on the new baby.

Congradulations..... !!!!
My son was 3.5 and when I suggested weaning to him. No issues at all. 3 years of nursing is amazing and (even though I don't know you...) I am very proud... !!!

Thanks! I love being somewhere where 33 months of nursing is seen as an accomplishment, not a weird freak of nature.
