Well, I guess the title says it all. I have a facebook page, I twitter. Most of the clients I get seem really random in how they found me. I am doing postcard mailings for the holidays, first to current clients then to new ones.

What have you found that brings you clients?

What helped me the most was getting to know my target market. Once I knew my potential customers, I understood the best way to capture their attention and get them to my site.

An example: If you sell cloth diapers and your ideal customer lives in your area, shops at baby boutiques and reads mothering magazine, then you already know two ways you can get in front of them...

I use facebook, twitter, and myspace.

I also do community events and make donations.

I am listed on online directories for my particular business. I belong to a few related forums.

I give my business card to everyone - and I mean everyone.

I post on Craigslist.

I push for referrals. I give deals to those who refer me and also for using my services more than once.

I've also sent out press releases which gave me great publicity.
