fertile cervical mucus vs. uh semen

How do you guys tell the difference between fertile cervical mucus, and the stuff that comes out the day or so after sex?

i would like to do some natural family planning and some barrier method during the first year of breastfeeding and i can't tell what is going on right now... even though i haven't had a period and don't expect one for a while, you never know.

A good way to help decipher, is within the hour of DTD, go to the bathroom and do some kegels. Start with 3 sets of 10. And wipe and wipe until there is no more. That should decrease your confusion the next day. Otherwise it's very hard to tell the difference they are both clear and stretchy.

It is very hard to tell b/c both have the same characteristics...ALSO while breastfeeding many women's bodies will retain sperm...no one really knows why but some believe it's b/c the vagina tends to be more dry during breastfeeding.

I second the kegels & wiping like MaryLang said upto 1 hour after having sex.
