How often do you change bed linens?

I've become a lax housekeeper since #2 came along...and I need some remedial advice. How often do you change your bed linens? I do it when I can remember or when someone pees in the bed (no, not me)

It's part of our weekend routine here -usually Sunday, since The Kid changes his on Saturday.

I got really slack for a few years after having dd and fell out of the routine. It was seriously about once a month (or more...) - the only plus side was that both dh and I wear pj's to bed which get washed frequently. BUT, I've recently started fly-ladying again and back to once a week just coz I'm on top of the whole house frequently rather than coz flylady tells me when to do it (I haven't a clue when she says to actually).

The master bedroom gets changed 2X a week, the big kids, aka potty trained usually on saturday, unless something requires it more often, usually DD like to craft on the bed and little pcs of paper, glue, beads etc make for new sheets etc.... the littles are almost daily due to diaper blow outs, spit up, baby issues still... 8 kids mean there are 9 beds to change counting the master... thats a whole lotta sheets, blankets, etc.... dont even get me started when the flu is going around...

FYI, we have standard crib sheets and twin sheets, the master is king... the kids are way over having thier own sheet sets, we buy pretty blankets for the kids and sheets are whatever they grab...

I think once a week is perfectly normal/enough.

I remember there was an "expert" on Oprah about this and Oprah said that she likes clean sheets every other day. The expert just laughed and said "Not everyone has that luxury".

I mean, I know I *could* do that but I'd be washing a lot.

We change ours once a week, usually on Sundays.

At least once a week for mine. I might go over for the other kids because if there are accidents, I forget when I changed them last. So sometimes 4 times a week, sometimes every 2 weeks. I can not sleep in old sheets, so mine get changed more often.

We do every other week usually, though now that it's hot and humid I feel like we're more sweaty so we're changing every week.

Every other week if we're lucky :

Once a week

I try to do the bottom sheet at least once a week- duvet covers take longer to dry and don't seem to get icky as quick so will often do every other week.

Every other week. More often and it's too much laundry, less often and I start breaking out in hives (sensitive skin).

Sheets once a week without spitting up newborns, twice or more with my new babe in the bed. Comforter every 3 weeks ish.

I try to do it every Monday, but it doesn't always happen. If I don't get to change the sheets I do at least change the pillow slips. Definitely every other week get changed though! We only use a bottom sheet and a duvet, so the cover gets washed each week. The duvet itself gets washed once a month.

Same here. I HATE changing bed linens so I tend to put it off.

Afraid to admit this, but someone has to.

Less often than what others are saying, barring an accident in bed, of course.

2-3 times per week for our bed, once a week for the kids'.
