How often do you change bed linens? - Page 3

At least weekly, sometimes more often.

Weekly, but everyone bathes before bed so if I skip a week it doesn't bother me. Personally, I find bed changing a major PIA what w/ the laundry, putting it back together, etc, but I have allergies so I wash b/c of dust, etc.

I would say once a week, sometimes maybe closer to every 2 weeks. Or more often, as needed.

Once weekly. More often during the summer when I'm pregnant and sweating a lot.

Bottom sheets every Friday. Top sheets every other Friday. Mattress pad whenever it gets peed or puked on (so at least a few times a month with an infant and toddler.) Quilts/duvet... what, you're supposed to wash those?:

Wow. I didn't realize people changed their sheets so often...I thought my step-mother was fluke cause she changes the master and three toddler beds once a week.

I have one king bottom sheet to change and that's a PITA to me.
But my kiddo who sleeps with me is potty sufficient and we're both scrubbed before bed so I can somewhat defend keeping our sheet on for close to a month. Pillow cases get washed more often...

That's what I was thinking! I don't think we've ever washed our duvet because I don't want it to fade! The sheets...we're doing good if it's once a month. I'm just not icked out by sheets.

About once a week, maybe a little longer if it's just us. If we are having houseguests it gets done more often because we give them the kids bed with fresh sheets, and I have houseguests a lot.

oh, yeah, when we have houseguests (which is also often) they get fresh bedding... and I wash it as soon as they leave.

I'm stunned by how many people wash their sheets more than once a week! My mother was Miss Perfect, and sheets got changed every week, and my brain tells me they need to be done so. However, i don't like doing it, so I maybe do it 2-3 times a month. I've been looking at the sheets every day for a week thinking "I should wash them." I like the notion of clean sheets, I'm just not that into using that much water, energy, etc to have them that frequently.

We cosleep, so there are accidents, and they get changed if they are messy. BUT, my solution to not washing EVERY THING EVERY TIME is that I have hospital style washable pads that I sleep on on top of my sheets, protection if my baby sweats, pees, pukes, etc - I change that every couple days. And under the sheets, are plastic shower curtains so I don't have to wash the mattress pad very frequently - maybe once a season?

Also, I'm downsizing, so I'd really prefer to only have one set of sheets for my bed - if I change them frequently, then that means stripping, washing, drying, and remaking the bed all in one day, and that is physically draining! The kids will probably always have 2 sets of sheets, though.

Once a week and never more than 8 days. For the most part, I'm a very indifferent housekeeper, but I've got extremely sensitive skin- 'old' sheets feel nasty after that and I think that there's something wonderfully decadent and luxurious about how good quality high thread count cotton sheets fresh out of the dryer feel against just-shaved legs.

well, sheets vary, sometimes it's every day, sometimes it's not for 2 weeks.

pillowcases are changed every day. i cannot sleep on an unfresh pillowcase. psychologically it messes me up. i really can't sleep without them.

Same here - probably once or twice a month.
