God bless this food we are about to receive.
Give bread to those who hunger,
and hunger for justice to those of us who have bread.
The computer translated it as the following, but I'd like it if someone could proofread the computer and see if it makes sense:
Dios bendice este alimento que estamos a punto de recibir.
DĂ© pan a los que tienen hambre,
y tienen hambre para la justicia a los que tiene pan.
My aunt just got her MSW, and is going to Guatemala for four months to learn Spanish to help her in her career. She's also religious, wife of a minister, interested in social justice, and just a fantastic person for many reasons.
I'd like to engrave this prayer on a bread board in English on one side and Spanish on the other, and give it to her as a graduation gift. The prayer is originally from Central America (I've heard both Nicaragua and Guatemala) so I'm hoping it either sounds familiar to someone or at least translates easily.
Thank you so much.
