Haven't had the baby yet, but I was just wondering which diapers everyone found/finds the most comfortable and compatible for their baby? Same goes for wipes!

For an itty bitty baby, I would start with sized diapers. I am a pockets/AIO girl myself, so I prefer BGs. Once your LO is bigger, I would look into one size diapers. My preference on those is also BGs, but I like GMs too when I use fitteds. I would buy a few different types of diapers and see what you like. You can always resell them!

i second trying out different kinds of dipes. covers and prefolds worked best for us in the nb stage. right now i love my prefolds and covers the most, but i definitely appreciate having my aio's around for when i need to do a quick change. usually though if she isn't squirming around i grab for a prefold and cover.

we prefer prefolds and lite wrap covers here. especially when he was teeny. we also have the bumgenius 3.0s for when we're on the go, but i find them not as easy to clean. maybe i just don't like pulling the insert out of the pockets.

we never bought wipes, but we had a ton of those little baby washcloths and i make my own "wash" for them. (we only used one kind of baby washcloth so all those other ones are now wipes.)

My favorite dipe changes all the time. For an itty-bitty baby, try infant prefolds with covers, Kissaluv 0s with covers, and some XS pockets and AIOs. Then you will try all the types and have an idea of which you prefer, and then you can buy mostly those for the larger sizes.

For when your baby is new, I would suggest mostly prefolds & covers. You will be changing a lot of diapers at first, and prefolds are easy to use (you don't need pins or snappis), quick to wash & dry, and inexpensive. Also, get a few diapers just to try out so that you can see what you like & what fits well on your baby. Personally I like fitteds with covers.
For wipes, I use baby wash cloths. I actually prefer the cheap, thin kind - you'll need at least 30 - and then I just use plain, warm water with them.

For a newborn, I always love prefolds or fitteds (like Kissaluvs 0s or Thirsties) and covers (like Thirsties or Bummis Super Brights). (They have gussets which are nice for keeping things contained.) Once the baby is 10-12 pounds, I like the one size pockets. You can stuff them more for nighttime, and less for daytime.
