dh and i watched the remake last night. what a piece of trash! i am so confused as to what exactly had changed for the humans? they just have all their crap but now it doesn't work? streets full of cars that no longer work? planes falling from the sky, nuclear power plants having a meltdown, etc. it made so since.
what exactly were they going for here? and dh pointed out how come a group of aliens can watch the earth for so long and decide we suck enough to wipe us all out only to then see a glimmer of kindness and change their minds? all that watching and they never saw a mama hug her child, a man and woman hug, someone caring for their grandparents.. and if we do suck really bad why would one chance sighting of kindness save us? it is just silly!
