Hey all. I'm an American who just relocated from Florida to Perth to be with my partner, the father of my child. I need to find a midwife, and soon - I'm 31 weeks, due at the beginning of September. I would also like to have a homebirth but will most likely not be able to use the actual place I am living at.
So basically, what I need is a homebirth midwife who is still taking clients for the beginning of September, who would be willing to work out a payment plan with my partner and me (since I'm NOT covered by Medicare or any private insurance), and who would be able to help us find a home environment for me to give birth at that is not where I'm living and is not attached to or part of a hospital.
I know, it's a lot to ask for, and it's quite possible that there are no midwives like that still available in Perth, if there ever were any. I figured I'd take my chances and ask anyway though, and I figured if anyone knew, it would be you ladies. Any advice or assistance you can recommend would be fantastic and much appreciated, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thank you!
