Does such a diaper exist?

Hi ladies,

I'm envisioning the perfect diaper for our needs and wonder if this one exists. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction. I'm looking for: a OS pocket diaper, all natural materials on the inside, leg gussets, and snap enclosure. Seems like all of the OS pockets contain microfiber, which I'm trying to get away from due to smell issues. I've been stuffing our Bum Genius with infant prefolds, but the diapers themselves still stink. Does anyone know of a pocket with bamboo, hemp or cotton on the inside??

I don't have any dipe suggestions but I've used pockets for a while and never had stinky dipes. Could they need to be stripped?

If you want the perfect diaper, you are gonna have to sew it yourself! Failing that though, if you don't sew or don't want to, there are lots of mamas selling diapers on etsy now. Perhaps they have what you want there?

I also suggest Etsy. You can ask for a custom order too.

This pocket diaper with bamboo velour is almost all that lol. Comes in sized or one-size styles. No leg gussets though. I had these made for my store because I couldn't find what I wanted. Probably natural fiber pockets will be available more places soon as many people's love affair with microfleece and microfiber is over due to stink etc. Swaddlebees and GAD make pocket diapers with natural fibers inside but not sure if they are one size. Knickernappies will do customs from their Hyena Cart and I know someone who has hers done with cotton velour inside. Back in the day (5 years ago) I made my dd's pocket diapers with natural fiber on the inside; it works great!

PM me if you want a suggestion for someone who can make them for you.

How do you avoid wicking then, if you don't have a synthetic on the inside? Is that what the leg gussets are for - to prevent the inner liner (whatever it is) from rolling outwards at the legs? I could see the possibility of having a two-part inner, with natural fibre on the inside and a border-type set up of synthetic fleece along the edges. But then you'd have the seams and they'd be lumpy. Hmm. How does this work? I avoid pockets because of the synthetic materials but would consider it there was a way to use naturals.

Dream eze have snap closures, leg gussets, and organic cotton inside their AIOs. They're not one size or pockets, though.

Also, Bum Genius does make their organic AIOs with an organic cotton inner.

And if you call Bum Genius they will give you directions on how to get rid of the stink. I think it's like a cap full of bleach in a laundry load, something like that. You can also search the forums here for how to do it. HTH.
