Anyone go from SFG to traditional rows?

I have 3 SFG beds in this year, 2 4x4s and one 4x10. The first 4x4 is full of stawberries, the other has a mix of lettuce, beans, broccoli, and peas and the big one is cherry and roma tomatoes and a few pepper plants.

Because of pesky rabbits and squirrels, I have had to cover them with a combo of deer mesh and bunny fence and it is a bit hard to get in there to harvest easily. It seems like it would be much easier to fence off a bigger plot and do rows.

Has anyone else made the switch? I love the idea of SFG, but I'm not sure it works the best for the space I have.

We have a big garden fenced in, but don't do rows... we do raised beds, but they're just mounds of dirt (no sides). I like it because it gives you obvious places to walk without compacting the soil around the beds... and you can get a lot of stuff in them. Most of my beds are ~2-3' wide and 15-20' long. I have 14 beds total, with the following:

bed 1: pumkins on one end, butternut squash on the other
bed 2: watermelon on one end, butternut on the otehr
bed 3: 2 zucchinis, 5-6' of cucumbers on a trellis, then 5-6' of bush beans
bed 4: 5 tomatillos, 8 basil and then more bush beans
bed 5: 2 tomatillos, 19 peppers
bed 6: 20 peppers
bed 7: 22 peppers
bed 8: 22 peppers
bed 9: bush beans
bed 10: ~20 brussel sprouts
bed 11: ~22-24 broccoli
bed 12 ~ 22-24 broccoli
bed 13: sugar snap & snow peas

Oh and then theres the old 'french intensive' bed with potatoes... And better than half of my peppers have died to some sort of wilt (guessing either fussilarium or verticculium, but not really sure). The rest, that are still alive look good though...
