GMD diapers: Yellow or Red Edge?

Hi mamas.I'm trying to decide which size to buy for my ds. He is 6 weeks old and 12 pounds. Any advice from your experience with Green Mountain Diapers Prefolds? Would you go with the small yellow edge or the medium red edge? On their site they say yellow fits 10 pounds to about 6 months old or about 15 pounds. And their red fits from about 14 pounds or so, perhaps 5 months or so and older. I'm confused. Help me!

I think a red edge would work, but be bulky and require quite a bit of folding down. Personally unless finances were very, very tight I'd get the yellows as one of the great benefits of GMD prefolds is that they are meant to fit without a bunch of folding down/bulkiness.
