Will my cycles every go back to "normal"?

I was just wondering if anyone knew more about this than I do......

I don't know if it's because I finally had a boy, thus him giving off different hormones while I was preggo or what but after my 2 girls my cycles would go RIGHT back to "normal" (what they were before I was pg)..... 26-28 days with me Oing on CD 14. I exclusively b/f them just as I am doing ds now....

Now I have anywhere from 28-my longest so far being 38 days and some months I don't even O. and I am Oing somewhere around CD 18-20 with only a 9-10 day LP. When I do O my LP is usually always consistent at 9-10 days.

Is this possibly going to be my pattern from now on...or is there a chance my cycles will ever go back to "normal"? I am just wondering if my body will every remember and go back to my nice predictable cycles.

Thanks to anyone who feels like humoring me..

Not sure if I know more, but IME I am pretty much the opposite... The only time my cycles have ever been "normal" (28 days, not sure about O) was after the birth of my son. After all my girls were born, they went back to being pretty much unpredictable and varying between 6-8 weeks long.

I carried all of my girls much longer than ds also and I would love to see someone do some studies on the hormonal differences between carrying boys vs. girls because I think there is something but I am just not sure what.

How old is your ds? Is he still nursing? Long cycles and short LP are often because of breastfeeding. It can take a while if you are nursing for them to even out. It varies from one pregnancy/nursing relationship to another and things like frequency of nursings (especially at night) and length of each nursing can have an effect.

Hope that helps

I forgot about our siggies being erased..His age would have helped..He is almost 12 mos.....yes he is still b/f..but of course does eat some solids.

I guess I am just thrown off because it was the same after both my girls.

Thanks....I guess I kind of already know this stuff. I guess I just figured since I have always had a predictable cycle (even after my m/c's) that my body would never do anything "wacky".

Thanks again!
