Guinea pig - nail clipping

Would clipping/trimming her nails be similar to cutting my dog's nails? She has a few that are long and I am just a tad bit nervous and unsure if I need to take her to a vet to have this done. I am very experienced with doing my large and small breed dog nails (his are white, hers are black). The piggy is white with light colored nails. (not sure if I have to worry about a vein either)

She is due for bathtime so I would like to do the nails along with her bath and fresh clean cage.

GP nails have a quick you should be able to see easily on the light nails. Just cut them with a small pair of dog/cat nail clippers.

I cut our pig's nails with regular nail clippers. I think it is easier than trying to stick them into the big hole in the dog nail clippers.

We do ours fairly regularly with child sized nail clippers. They grow very quickly.

We have never given her a bath though. Should we be bathing her regularly?
