Blog & Article Linking News! -- PLEASE READ

In talking with georgia the admin, we will now have a thread in here of links to blogs we own or read, but the links must meet two conditions:

1. They are PM'd to me versus posted to the board.
2. When they are placed into the resources thread, member names will not be attached to the links so it will not appear as 'advertising' for the individual blog or article owners. Members will be able to choose which blogs they choose to read based on blog title or topic. (topics will be listed -- I am only just starting as I just got permission to work on this for us)

The links will live in the stickied resources thread, currently post #2.

INSTRUCTIONS:

If you would like your blog or a favorite blog added to our list, please PM me its link, title, slogan or description, and no more than two categories listed here you think it fits in best.

I agree that multiple listings would be a must. Most blogs are by nature hard to categorize under one topic.

There should be a category for loss and/or grieving mommas. A lot of us have blogs.

I have a question, too. My blog is password protected because of some family issues, but I am happy for anyone here to read it. Would it be possible to put a link to PM me for a password, or should I just not list mine here?

I imagine this is going to be a lot of work - thanks for doing it for us!

Considering the board is split into subsections, would it not make sense to have the blogs in a similar layout.

That way there's a main list with all the links, and then in the forum perhaps in the resources thread of each forum section there could be a link to just the blogs which deal with that forum section.

And I second Rachele, loss blogs are important, perhaps a section for loss and a section for pregnancy after loss as some people start a new blog each time. Also if you want help dealing with loss you might want to be able to choose to avoid the pregnancy after a loss blogs and just read the loss blogs.

I have been adding categories here using the ideas posted here as they come up. I'm trying to keep similar topics as one category name so as to not make things too diluted.

Concise blog titles and slogans/bylines (both of which I will include in the listing if you provide me with them ) in addition to 1-2 category listings will, I think, be the best way to give a good snapshot as to what your blog is about.

Thank you all so much for your help with this!! I have several PMs of blogs links in my inbox (yay!). I am off to add those next.

I'm still working my way through links. I'm so sorry I haven't been able to reply to everyone. I've had 60+ PMs with all of your awesome blogs. I have about 10? more to add.

If you all could check your listing to see if it is in the 1-2 categories you would like it in (no more than 2 please!), that would be really helpful. I think I missed 1 or 2.
