Which kind did you get? I used to get one that came in a bag with a yello label (sorry that's not more helpful) that was good. There is also a tapioca/pecan bread that is good. If you want a recipe to make your own, this one is good:

I make my own because there are too many ingredients we can't have in gluten free bread.

There is a mix from Bob's Red that I made and it was pretty good. I can't stand any of the premade loaves I have tasted though.

Thanks I will look into making my own. I bought a white/rye loaf from lifefoods. It was soooo gross and $7.00 for a tiny loaf. Good thing I can return it!

We buy the Ener-G foods light brown rice loaf by the case from Amazon. Edible when toasted, wonderbread-like in texture, shelf stable. Not delicious by any stretch of the imagination, but works for sandwiches for dd and on the rare occasion that I want toast or a grilled sandwich.

I have found that the Trader Joes GF bread and the stuff that you buy refrigerated is inedible.

Trader Joe's makes a brown rice bread that isn't bad when toasted.
