Ok, so, I bought 20 Bumgenius 3.0 brand NEW for 10$ each today, locally. (The diapers are brand new, a warranty exchange, and the inserts are used but in great shape). My thought was to keep 10 and sell 10 at a profit to offset the cost ( I am pretty broke right now), and also if I did not like them, I could sell them all and definately not lose money off the deal. Of course now that they are here I want to keep them all, sort of? And I kinda want to sell them all.
Pro- Keeping them:
1. I have never had new diapers before and they are bright and shiny
2. Those microfiber inserts seem like they would hold a ton
3. Super easy to put on my screaming, thrashing, twisting, kicking 1 y/o
4. I have to go back to work soon and DS might be going into daycare part time at some point (through Nov I will be working 3 days/wk at a temp job and my mom will be keeping him and after that I dont have a clue what/when/where I will be working but I do NOT want to do disposables at daycare)
Pro-Selling them:
1. Fleece- my stash is primarily fuzzi bunz with trifolded prefolds and I am fighting the stinkies without even taking into account microfiber (I have recently switched detergents and hope it is under control for the most part)
2. Microfiber- If my fb stink with no inserts, I shudder to think what dealing with mf stink would be like
3. Stay-dry- I have started EC/pottylearning with DS and that is the primary reason I was looking at diapers anyway- to get cotton instead of fleece
4. Bumgenius have a reputation for wearing out sooner rather than later and I am not psyched about that. However they have scores of devotees too....
5. Aplix is a pitb to launder
6. DS is almost 13 mo and weighs 24 lb and is 31 inches tall. I am not confident they will fit that much longer even though they claim to fit up to 35lb, I dont think that will be the case.
Part of me is saying suck it up and use prefolds (I already have about 15 premium prefolds and a couple thirsties covers) and he actually runs around part of the day in cheapo gerber trainers (no carpet here so no worries with that). Or sell these and find some cotton fitteds. Thanks for reading, if you made it this far!!! Thoughts???

I still like using them though....when ds was younger I would OCCASIONALLY have blow-outs with the FB's but NEVER did with the BG. For that reason I liked them a LOT when he was younger.
