What's new/exciting. hot in the world of diapering???

I haven't bought diapers in about 7 years as my older dd's all worked for my younger and they both outgrew diapers in size M. My best friend is 20 weeks pregnant and is cding. I want to get her the most awesome diaper ever- the cute/expensive ones she would not buy for herself. I just don't know anyone with an infant to give me any reviews and am pretty lost with all of the choices out there. Please help point me in the right direction.

For fitteds, Goodmamas and Bububebe are very popular.

GroBaby is popular but that is sort of a whole "system" so buying her one or 2 might not work too well.

Do you know about diaperpin.com where you can read reviews of diapers? It's an awesome resource!

You could figure out whether you want to get fitteds, pockets, All-In-Ones (AIOs), One-size, etc then see which are top rated on diaperpin.

I'm afraid I love old-fashioned simplicity--flats or fitteds with wool covers--so I'm out of the "what's hot" loop too. But if someone were splurging on my stash, I'd want gorgeous wahm knitted wool longies and shorties

I think it depends on the kind of diaper. For fitteds, I'd go with a Goodmama and maybe a cute cover. For AIOs, definetly a BumGenius organic (they're my favorite). I would just spend some time on Diaper Pin reading reviews, and exploring the different cloth diaper websites. I think you'll have fun!

Search Diaperpin for the latest and greatest. I don't really care anymore, b/c after cloth diapering for 5 yrs straight now, lately I am not excited about diapers

My 2 favs, though, are Bum Genius Organic OS AIO's (with snaps) and Dream Eze organic AIO's. I'm over pockets and when I stop being so lazy I am going to sell my stash of them.
