okay the hospital tested some bloods they only tested 7 foods and here are the results -

total ige - 379
apple 0.18
lentil 13.00
milk 11.60
oat 2.21
peanut 8.29
soya 9.89
wheat 2.03

they said they are not 100% reliable

Can you tell me are these high? does this mean I stay away completely from these foods? is apple at 0.18 ok? my heads spinning. My appointment is not for another month!!

Based on the scale I'm looking at, here's how your results break down.

the apple result would be considered negative (as is anything below .35 KU/L)

wheat and oat are both what are considered a Class 2 result, or a moderate level of allergen specific IgE.

lentil, milk, peanut and soy are considered class 3 results.

If it makes you feel any better, my oldest sons RAST results to his most severe allergies were all class 6 (results greater than 100 KU/L) until a couple of years ago... now they range between class 3 and class 6.

In your position, I'd definitely pull the lentil, milk, peanut and soy until your next appointment. Apple should be okay to continue feeding her. If you've not noticed any reactions to wheat or oat in the past, you should be okay continuing to feed your child those too.

My children's allergist tends to consider anything with a result of <4 KU/L up for a food challenge if the child has shown no reactions in the past.
