Anyone else REALLY crampy?

Thread Starter
I'm trying not to let it freak me out because I'm not spotting AT ALL, but wow, last night and this morning, I am so crampy. If I weren't pg, I'd be taking 800mg of motrin and a HOT bath. I looked through my herbs for some after-ease or contract-ease or carry on but I think it's all at the birth center (45m away). I might stop and see if I can get some black haw at the local supplement store, at least. I'm also going to make sure that I super-hydrate myself today...I know I didn't drink enough yesterday.

So, tell me I'm normal and that I'm not the only one with really bad cramps, please!

Yes

I've been crampy to, nothing unbearable but it's enough to make me worry. Everything I've read points to that being pretty normal so I don't think we should worry. When I had my M/C last year it was unbearable cramps/ with sweating and the feeling of needing to poop, oh and bleeding. If you're not having any of the other symptoms definitely don't worry about it. I think we are all in the same boat here...just being nervous.

I've been feeling crampy. Nothing major like that, but just like pre af cramps to me. But I don't get very bad af cramps anymore after ds 1. I also had the same cramping with him as my first symptom so thats the only reason I'm not too worried about it. Really, thats the ONLY thing I'm feeling at this point which is a little unsettling. But it is normal...

My cramps this time aren't too bad, but I remember having pretty bad cramps last time. I am getting gassy cramps this time though, which I also remember from last time. Fun times.

I got the gas too lol. I don't remember that from last time. And its not typically something that happens to me.

I have had some, but I also have a UTI that has caused some crazy intense back pain too.
I have been drinking LOADS!!! ( peeing every 10 mins) and that has seemed to help some.

I'm so glad you started this thread because today I have cramps and I was starting to worry. It's nice to know that other people are feelings cramps too and that it's totally normal

I had cramps a week ago (6 weeks) but now it seems like they've gone away. It always makes me think: "wow, my uterus is really growi- OH MY GOD I'M HAVING TWINS!" I don't think I am but it gets me every time :-)

: I have been having a few mild ones now and then, as well as some twinges, and I know it's supposed to be normal but it still makes me worry a bit It is really nice to hear other people going through the same thing.

I keep thinking that, actually. My body seems more symptomatic earlier this time around, and of course that's the first thought that pops into your head - "more symptoms = more hormones = omg what if it's twins???" I'm hoping it's just a sign of a healthier pregnancy than last time - though twins would be quite an adventure...

Initially I was very crampy. It gave me peace of mind something was going on in there. But then it disappeared and I got a little worried. My HCG kept increasing and on Monday we saw a very teeny tiny heartbeat so everything is ok. So don't get worried if it disappears. My sister said she was crampy on and off the whole first trimester. Niether my mom or sister ever had morning sickness and I am hoping to follow in their footsteps!

It's comforting to know other mamas are having cramping too! To some degree, yeah it's "normal" but it's also another thing for us to worry about.. oh those "what if's"..

My cramps have been pretty intense lately, keeping me up all night and making everyday stuff pretty uncomfortable. I went to the ER two nights ago because I was so sick and tired of hurting. The doc did a transvaginal ultrasound and saw the gestational sac, which was really cool, but she wasn't able to check my tubes for a second sac or any cysts.. They also gave me Percocet, which I am very reluctant to take. I did take it once because I was really hurting, and I finally got a night of sleep.. Last night I did not sleep at all and I'm exhausted from this cramping. I think if I wasn't in class all day every day I could relax and cope with the pain better..

My MW said that I was doing a good job of getting things taken care of. She said that the cramping might be caused by the residual IUD trauma that I underwent for 6 months. It hurt so badly for so long that I finally had it taken out. We got pregnant 2 weeks later. She said it might be my body's reaction to having something foreign in there and then getting pregnant right away.. In a weird way, my body might be confused? I'm not sure, but then again, I don't take a super medical approach to everything.. I think it might just be that my uterus is sensitive.

So I have to go to my actual OBGYN tomorrow morning at 8 (yikes!) and get checked out. They're doing my 2nd beta test to compare to the results from the ER. I'm really hoping that everything is ok. My OBGYN is amazing and really supports my home birth decisions, so I feel confident that we'll get this figured out.
