Just checked this thread after weeks away.
Glad you ladies all seem to be doing well. Chloe is two months old today (yesterday I guess....it's midnight now). Time flies way too fast.
She is such a sweet baby...very relaxed and easy going for the most part. She's completely different than DD1. Especially in the fact that she is 100% a mommy's girl. She wants to be with me all day long. I don't really find it difficult since I've been using my Moby wrap, and just recently, the Ergo carrier. She gets worried when she can't see me, which is funny...DD1 was pretty independent even as a baby. But then, Chloe doesn't comfort nurse at all...she's a fast nurser - only for hunger and then she's done. DD1 comfort nursed all the time. Weird how they're so different even when they're little newborn "blobs." (cute, adorable, precious, wonderful, chubby blobs) And she sleeps! She fusses at 9:30pm, goes down, sleeps until 11 or 12, nurses and then sleeps easily until 8am. It's bliss and such a nice payback from DD1 who didn't sleep more than 4 hrs until she was at least 5 months old.
The only dark spot in all of this is that I haven't lost an ounce since the initial 20 or so pounds I lost in the beginning. That means I have at least 30lbs of babyweight clinging on for dear life. I started doing Jillian Michael's 30 day shred last week and I'm hoping it will help. My pants are getting tighter (my fat maternity pants!) in the legs, which for me usually means I'm building some muscle and will usually be followed by weight loss(PLEASE!). At least DH is happy.
And as long as I workout, I feel okay about myself.
It's nice to be back here...I'll have to try and check in a bit more often.
Jacqueline - I hate my pump. I did it so much w/ DD1 and this time, I pumped for the first week or two and then gave up. It's almost impossible to do with two kids and since I can nurse, it seems so much easier. Sorry you're still having trouble with getting him to the breast.
Cook - I keep thinking about you. I was wondering if your hubby got the job in Seattle...it looks like no? You can PM me, but what denomination is he looking at?
Oh - and do any of your babies not poop more than once a day, or less than once a daY? Chloe just started this a few days ago...I noticed her frequency decreasing, but the last two days, she's only pooped once and then today, not at all. And she's fine otherwise...not signs of sickness or anything being amiss. Just no poop. DD1 pooped ALL the time, so this feels weird.
