this morning i was laying in bed having my normal pre labor painful ctx, then one particularly hard one, and decided to just get up. after the ctx, i stood up and had a horrible burning/sharp pain in my cervix. waited for it to end, went to the bathroom, and there was blood! i always thought bloody show would be mucus with some pink in it, but this dripped out a few drops, and i wiped it a few times and it was bright red, and in the amount of a light period. i called midwife who said if it stops in 10 minutes, its nothing to worry about. it has stopped so i guess im not worried but was that bloody show? will i finally have my baby soon? anyone else experience anything like this? ive been loosing my mucus plug for days but theres never any blood. ideas?

I agree its different for everyone and each pregnancy. The first time I had lost my mucus plug for days and then when I thought I 'might' be in labor, quite a bit of red blood came out. I was concerned about the amount and how red it was but my MW said it was normal. I did end up in labor that night and DD1 was born the next morning. For DD2, I never had a bloody show just a rapid fire labor!
