DTD 2 week post partum?

Honestly I really wanted to last week. I feel great, have healed fine and have stopped bleeding for about 4 days now. My tear is completely healed and we are ready to get frisky again. Of course I don't want to rush things and cause an infection of some sort(though I'm not sure how), I'm prepared for the chance that there may not be all pleasurable sensations. Last time we waited the full 6 weeks, but weren't in the mood anyways. DS will be 2 weeks tomorrow , and frankly I'm so excited to DTD again facing forward I really don't want to wait any longer than I have to.

The last 3 pgs I didn't wait even 2 weeks. This time I have but that is because I have a baby in my bed and really haven't been in the mood. I say go for it if you feel up to it.

As far as i know as long as you are done bleeding, its ok to dtd.. have fun!

This is me (of course it doesn't help that I'm still bleeding almost 4 weeks later).

I have been wondering this same thing... I had a c/s and have been mostly done bleeding with just random light spotting for over a week now... I really want to DTD but don't know if we can. I feel totally back to normal.

I have been wondering the same thing. I am 10 days pp and have felt very ready for a few days now. We waited 4 weeks with my last two.

LOL kudos to you, I'm almost 6w pp and it's not on my radar either!! I'm still spotting here and there though, ugg. And DH is dragging feet about the V.

MW gave go ahead at week 2 so I went swimming with the kids all week and was too tired for sex. Week 3 pp and sex I believe is actually better than before after this child. Have more problems with dry foreplay than actual sex, don't forget the lube honey.

I agree with the lube thing. We started trying at 4 weeks, were successful at 5.5 weeks, and now have been DTD quite often the last week or so....I think it's just as good, maybe better then before pregnancy! I'm just so glad to be doing it without a giant baby belly!!!

Ugh...i wish. 8 wks. pp yesterday and tried it. ow!!! mission unsuccessful! i had episiotomy with this one, add breastfeeding. i had to stop. last time i was in pain from nursing "dryness"/hormones, most of first yr. pp even though DD1 was c-sec and no episiotomy. hope it improves. even lube not helping, it's that excruciating stretching sensation like tearing!
