I didn't think I was going to get a baby shower for baby #3. However, two of my close friends threw me a mini-shower today. I was so tickled. 
: Each of them has two children and they invited me over to one friend's house with my two kids for lunch (I did not know it would be a shower). We had pizza and the kids played, they got me a really adorable cake, the kids got big containers of bubbles as a favor, the three of us got little bath and bodyworks stuff as favors, and they got me a combined GC to Target, plus REALLY cute washclothes, wrapped up in tulle and ribbon to look like candy. It was so sweet of them and totally made my day!
This is boy #3 (and our last one) and I've been a little bit bummed with the lack of excitement about this baby, since everyone had anticipated I would have a girl this time. So it was just such a nice surprise that two of my friends threw a little shower for me. The kids had a blast too, since it was like a party playdate, they were all very excited about the cake and favors, it was just so sweet of my friends to go take the time and effort to do this for me, I'm going to have to write both of them a very nice thank you note for their thoughtfulness.
