I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow. Maybe I am really an elephant and my gestation period will be 22 months?! I sure feel like an elephant!!

This thread has been a lifesaver - all of the support and btdt stories have been great. Thanks everyone
So how's it going for you? Sorry if I've missed some update somewhere telling us that you've had the babes.

Hi Labortrials...No babies for me yet. I am 39 weeks today. My nst's have all looked good so my doctor says they should stay where they are for now. I will admit at this point I am trying everything to get labor going...but they are just not ready yet. Oh well...at this point I figure it will happen when it happens.

How is everyone else doing?!

So, SO close! They will be here soon and you'll be able to bend, roll over, pee like a normal person, and best of all snuggle those sweet baby heads! Can't wait to hear all about it.

I love when mamas get to tell everyone who told them they'd come early that they're WRONG

Good luck to all of you...it is an incredible experience when you finally get to meet your beautiful babies

Awesome, gals! It's great that you're doing well and being encouraged to continue your pregnancies to term.

Looks like I'm on pace for the same. Only time will tell!

I had my twins at 39 weeks, 2 days. I remember turning 39 weeks, then a day later with nothing happening still, and feeling like the full moon (I was counting on that moon helping me out) had left me behind. But then things did happen, after all!

Yes, there are these women volunteers who staff the info desk at the hospital....all senior citizen range. They asked "how much longer?" when I walked by sometime in the 3rd trimester, and I told them my due date (then they asked, Twins?) One woman said, "You KNOW you won't go to your due date with twins!" She was so authoritative about how they'd come early, and pretty condescending like I was so naive to even speak in terms of my due date.

When we left the hospital after the birth, they were looking at the babies as we went by and I called out that they were born at 39 weeks 2 days, but I didn't get much reaction and I doubt anybody took my point.

Best wishes to all you mamas still waiting!

Congrats Magstphil! What cute names & great birth weights!

Looking forward to everyone else's birthing stories.

I very much remember going from sending stay put vibes to my little ones to the GET OUT vibes!
