What do you think is the best size cloth wipes?

I am looking to make some cloth wipes and wash cloths, but I was wondering what sizes do you think are best for this task?? Thanks!

My favorites were the purchased baby washcloths. I think those were about 4" or 5" square.

I prefer smaller sized ones, too....like 4" square. I have some from 3" to about 8" square.

I had a stack - maybe 30, of cheap Ikea washcloths (8-9" square) and loved them over smaller fleece backed baby wipes. They were thin and soft and got into all the little creases easily but were big enough not to need a ton of them to clean a really messy jobs. Terry also in my opinion has an excellent grip on all the mess - MUCH better than any disposable! The small wipes ended up at the table ideal for quickly wiping messy hands and faces.

For newborns, I like 6 inch square. For bigger babies, I like 8 inch square wipes.

My friend and I made our own reusable wipes. We made them with one side flannel (or old receiving blankets and the otherside terry cloth) We cut them 8x8 then serged them. they fold and fit perfectly in a baby wipes container and they are so cute and cheap to make. I love them, we are getting together again to make more real soon!

I also like 8x8 - folded in half, fit in an old wipes container. I use doubler layer flannel, but having some toweling or terry would work great, too.

I prefer a 8 in square wipe...similar to a wash cloth size. I have a supply of Thirsties Fab Wipes that happen to be that size. They are the perfect size in that you usually only need to one for a soiled diaper clean-up.

7 x 7 and always two ply

for business there are two of us who don't make squared. we are kinda cornerless like that.
