Contractions won't go away...

...but not much changes either!

Since 2Pm I have been contracting.
On the dot acording to my contractions program.
Every 30 minutes from 2 to 7 Pm. Mild ones nearly painless.
Every 10 minutes from 7 to 9. Contractions that make me stop and take a deep breath but still not bad.
Every 7 minutes from 9 until now (2am) and still going.
I made myself fall asleep between 11PM and 2, but woke up with a dream somebody was punching me on the stomach - it was a contraction

In the past when I had prodromal labor they would be intense contractions that would go away in. couple of hours.
These time they are manageable contractions that keep on coming regularly so far for 12 hours??? It is very weird.

Baby is as active as ever between them.

Luckily I am able to rest through all this, but it is so bizarre.
I keep waiting for them to fizzle out but they don't, but they don't pick up in strength either.

Hoping yours turn into something :

I'm in the same boat. My mw says it's part of having an "experienced" uterus.
Mine last all day, then fizzle overnight. Yesterday morning I also woke up to a really big one. Now I'm at 1min. long every 6min.

I had my belly hennaed yesterday, so I'm hoping that will push me over the edge.

I hope this is it for you!

I hope they get stronger and closer and you are holding a baby in your arms soon! With my 5th babe my contractions stayed around 20 minutes apart for a full 24 hours for almost the entire labor. The last hour they got closer together, gathered strength and i had my baby. good luck!

I hope this is it!

Oooh...that sounds a lot like what was happening for me when I went into labor!!! (It took awhile for them to get really strong) and they never got closer than 6mins or so even at the end.

GL--hoping you are in labor!!!

I'm sending labor vibes across the pond!

Good luck to you! I really hope this is it!

4 min apart for the last hour and stronger. Not terribe though so I don't know whether I should call the midwife...
What have you been told about when to call? I honestly don't remebrr.

It is good I did not call... they spaced out and weakened after 4 hours... surprise, surprise

Well, at least there is more action going on in 24 hours than in all 9 months combined, so maybe that's a good sign, right?

Ack...how frustrating. I hate it when the contrax fizzle out. Hopefully they will pick up again and your baby will be in your arms SOON.

It is a good sign.
You are close.

When I talked to my mw about all the close together cx, she just repeated that when they got stronger to call.

Maybe today will be the day.

My mw said to call when the intensity changes.

Have you tried acupressure to help the contractions to progress? I think it could really help you. Good Luck

No, I have not tried accupressure.
Do you have any links?

Tx!

Accupressure points: first of all have someone else do the points. Four finger length from the ankle is one of them. Where it feels sore to you is where it will be most effective. Massaging that only area vigoursly is good or just pressing and holding at that spot will work. Also there is a point that is between the big toe and second toe but just below them, again you can tell where it is because it is sensitive. the bottom of the feet right in the middle also.

I had random contractions for days (not as frequent as you, though) and when my labor did start it was quick and fast (one hour and she was out!). So hopefully yours will kick in and you'll have a speedy labor/delivery soon!
