So... the other thread got me thinking about what a hard time I have trying to find good paper that I'll like, without having to try a bunch of different paper and wasting time/money/trees.
I've been looking at the Mercurius site, but there are so many there that I cannot decide which one(s) I should order. And of course, there is Dick Blick, which also has a huge selection! Can anyone help?
I'd like to get some watercolor paper for both watercolors and watercolor pencils. And I also want some nice paper that would work well in a homemade nature journal ... I plan on using my Lyra color pencils in this and maybe graphite pencils if I can decide on some.
Which leads me to my next question. I would like pencils for my drawing, my dd's drawing, and for writing in our regular everyday stuff. I'm tired of getting the regular No.2 pencils from the big box stores and they aren't as dark as we want them, or they don't erase well, or they don't write smooth, or what-have-you. So I was looking at the graphite pencils on Mercurius and there are just too many. I really need help from someone who knows pencils!
And paper!

TIA!
