i was just wondering if anyone who experienced dp/dr took meds and got better from it, i have been on luvox for about 8 weeks and it seems like the feeling is still kind of there. Just wondering if i need to give it more time or im not sure whats going on! Is this a feeling from anxiety or the ppd or everything that goes along with having a baby! Any answers would help me at this point thank you.

Bernadette
P.S. I really need some reassurance as well anyone!

I've had good experiences with meds. I've been on them twice. the first time, they helped immediately. The second time, I needed some significant increases in the dose before I felt better. I had significant PPD/Anxiety. My oldest (the one who's birth triggered the PPD) is 8, and I've felt good for a number of years.

If it's been 8 weeks and you're not feeling yourself, go back to your doctor. Your doctor should be monitoring you. I HIGHLY recommend going to a psychiatrist because they're much more knowledgable about the meds, much more likely to make sure you get the right dose and/or combination of meds that you need and less likely to be freaked out by your symptoms.

Many doctors prescribe a starter dose of the SSRIs and think all will be well. It's not for many people.

Hang in there! It could be you need a higher dose (if the luvox has helped, but not completely) or a different med. Neither is unusual.
