Seeds from 2007 still OK?

This is a quick question -- i have some packets of herb seeds with the date of production stamped 2007. I want to use them next year when we move to a new place. Would they still be OK? TIA!

Yes. Probably. Might have a reduced germination rate- i'd sow them thickly.

They'll be fine. The germination rate may drastically drop off depending on what kind of seeds they are (onions already have a low germination rate typically), but they'll still sprout.

Thank you! The seeds are organic cilantro and basil -- have been meaning to plant them for the past two years ...

Oh yeah, give 'em a try for sure!

The basil I'm growing this year came from a seed packet I bought in 2005. So far so good!

If you have a lot you can do a germination test to find out for sure. In the mean time, store them in a tupperware container in the fridge.
