I just want to sleep

But I don't see how I can right now. I really don't think this is labor, but I'm having contractions every 10 mins or so and I just can't sleep through them. I finally gave up about an hour ago and got up.
Before bed they were about every 10-15 mins with some being 20 min. Then I "woke up" at 2 (I was just dozing from about 12:30 until then) and they were more every 10 min.
The past hour they have been about 10 mins with a few closer to 5 min. They are all about 45 sec-1 min long. And uncomfortable.

I was induced at close to my due date (give or take a few days) with my other three, so I can't imagine I'd go so early with this one. Don't want to get my hopes up. LOL

No, I just want to go to bed and get some sleep.

Sorry. Just wanted to whine.

That was how it was like Friday and Saturday night for me!
I finally called the midwife at 6 am Sunday morning to ask if she could come check me sometime that day. She came right away - and I was 5cm! DD was born 3:30 hours later!

So don't understimate those contractions. They could be the real thing !

I finally got some sleep after 5 am. Contractions have slowed down, but the ones I have are uncomfortable. Still different from the BH's I've been having. I feel like crap this morning. Probably from lack of sleep. lol

Any news Leigh? I assume since you haven't updated that the contractions stopped or you are having/have recently had your baby!

If it's the first one and you start contracting far apart again like that, my midwife recommends taking some Gravol and Tylenol so you can get some sleep before the big show,

Good luck!

If you aren't opposed to medication during pregnancy, Tylenol PM, or just Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) can really be a great help.

Yeah, they slowed way down. Thankfully. lol I was having them about every 10 mins last night, but not so bad that I couldn't sleep. I told DH the worst part is that they are hurting some. It's harder to ignore than the painless BHs.
I'll keep the Tylenol PM thing in mind.

This happened to me last week! Things seemed to totally be gearing up, and then eventually went away/stopped. Very frustrating, though I feel philosophical about it now. I just tell myself it was getting my baby into a better position, bringing my cervix forward, etc. and now I get to wait for the big day. Oh, and the Tylenol + Gravol or Benadryl trick works wonders. I have done this probably 3 times this pregnancy and slept like a rock and woke up refreshed. Gotta save that energy for the real thing! : Hope you get to hold that babe of yours soon.

Yeah, that's the only thing helping me deal with the painful ones. Surely it's doing some good. lol I'm going to try very hard to stick to my plan of not getting checked at my next appointment (they haven't even asked yet) because I can't take the disappointment if nothing is actually happening. LOL

Same thing going on here. Last week I had 3 nights I was up with contrax from about 1:30 - 3:30. Then nothing for 4 nights. Then last night, contrax from 2-4:30...then nothing. I'm soooo tired. I better be 4 cm dilated by now (I was 2 after the first two night of contrax.)

I always feel like I *might* be in early labor at night and when I finally fall asleep I always wake up still pregnant! Gah! ONE of these days I'll ACTUALLY be in labor!!
