What do you do? Hitting. In the face. Redirection dosen't seem to help. Will he outgrow it? My daughter did not do this. We constantly let him know that hitting is inappropriate, hurts, hugs not hits, etc. He just comes back and keeps hitting. I have started to pretend to cry, and that instantly gets him to stop and give a cuddle. And then he dosen't hit for a while. But it is almost like a game. And I am not sure that manipulation is the answer either. He does it when he is upset, but also when he is having fun. Very random. I am sure it is normal for this stage, but what do you do in the meantime?
