children's toothpaste

DD is starting montessori preschool in august and on the school list is a white toothpaste. We are currently using tom's silly strawberry at home. Any recommendations? Don't know where to start looking?

I don't use Tom's because it contains SLS...and fluoride (but that's my personal issue).

My son LOVES the Weleda Calendula toothpaste. It's basically anise flavored. And, it's white.

We're kind of weird, here...

Why does the school specify what type of toothpaste to use? Is it just to avoid using silly things like the blue, sparkley, mainstream brands?

i think tom's now has a SLS free toothpaste....
but we also like the Weleda toothpaste.
i bet that is why, so kids won't bring the crazy sparkle toothpaste
