almost here... I just became a fan this summer, watching seasons 1 & 2 on demand during a few marathon laundry folding events. Not sure how I'll do watching it one hour at a time & then waiting a whole week!

I've got my DVR set! Hoping to get to watch it as soon as it's on though.

yeah - I am very sleepy... I might watch it tomorrow... OTOH I don't want to get spoiled so I'll probably end up watching it tonight....

I had to force myself to stay awake, then I watched the premier and was so jazzed up, I couldn't fall asleep until 2am! It was worth it though!

What happened to Duck Phillips? Did he get fired? Was Dick named President of SC? I couldn't tie last night's events back to last season.

We were trying to figure out what happened to Duck Phillips too! Seemed like he was sort of on rocky ground at the end of last season. Wish they would explain more.

Anyone else think that opening sequence was a little hokey?

Anyone else think the new Brit bears an uncanny resemblance to Al Franken?

I'm just so happy the new season has started!

AMC had a marathon on the other day and I DVRd all the episodes and watched them over a few days and yes over marathon laundry folding sessions! At the last show of the season Duck had done the work to bring in the british guys to buy out the agency. He wanted full control as president and control over the Creative (doug). So after the merger was complete, Duck got up and stated all the things he wanted to do and Doug said he was out. Duck didnt realize Doug did not have a contract and basically that was the end of Duck.

I remember seeing that part but I guess I thought there would be a bigger "scene" considering Duck's drinking problem and inflated ego.

Yeah, I thought the opening scene was weird too. I didn't feel like it fit somehow.

I can't wait to see how Sterling's relationship with the young secretary/future wife plays out. I suspect he will regret his decision.

I LOVED the way Joan set up the Brit assistant in the office and he ended up getting slammed by his boss. She is so sly.

Episode 3 tonite!

can't wait to see more of Peggy & Don, I think he is going to be pursuing/seducing her soon!
Who else has never seen Bye Bye Birdie? I need to order it thru netflix!

anyone else disappointed with this season?

Everything seems really disjointed and darker. I'm not sure. Kind of reminds me of the thrid season of Six Feet Under -- I didn't really like it, but looking back it was just building up the storyline.

meh.
