Just Diagnosed -- allergic to Gluten, Wheat, AND bakers Yeast!!!!! Now what do I do?

Wow!

OK I've been feeling beyond tired and irritable for the past few months now. I went to a naturopath and had my blood tested. I just found out I'm allergic to -

- Gluten
- Barley
- Oats
- Wheat
- Bakers yeast
- Malt
- Rye
- Egg white
- Broccoli (maybe cuz I've eaten so much of it growing up)
- Eggplant
- Black pepper (? seems random)
- Cauliflower
- Mushroom
- Tune

I also had my 4.5 yo's blood tested and she's allergic to

- Gluten
- Wheat
- Brewers yeast
- Cantaloupe
- Cashews
- Pineapple
- safflower
- seasame
- soy bean

I didn't have my 2.5 yo son's blood tested cuz I figure its hereditary...

What can I have???????? I found this BEAUTIFUL GF bread - but of course it calls for yeast.

Is there an alternative to yeast? The first thing I can think of is corn tortillas but I know corn is hard to digest.... I'm not one of those bread people - who loooooove bread... but sometimes it good when you're in a hurry or need to take things to go...

Any tips? Thank you! I'll continue my research. I've found LOTS of great GF info out there - but it all has eggs, wheat, and/or yeast in it....

Thanks!

Hi..I have no tips for you, but was wondering what kind of test your naturopath gave you exactly. There is a chiro in my area that is going to be offering a blood test to show food sensitivities/intolerances, but the cost is like $250. Apparently the test has a bar graph scale and depending on the severity of your sensitivity the bars are longer or shorter. What was your test like?
Thanks.

I'd also like to know what kind of test your naturopath gave you exactly.
I'm new to all this too so don't have any tips for you - but I'm schooling myself and will pass on anything I find!

We do a lot of quick breads, muffins, waffles, pancakes, etc. Pancakes, waffles and crepes work really well as sandwich wraps and don't contain any yeast. There are many good recipe blogs out there. Look for the gluten free ones. You can easily substitute all the other ingredients (like milk, eggs, etc.), but the flour part is more difficult. The recipe thread in the resources sticky is awesome, too. It's long but worth the read.

Here's a great sandwich wrap bread: http://glutenfree.wordpress.com/2008...grain-version/
This same blog has quite a few yummy muffin recipes, too.

I had a sandwich today between two gf waffles because they were handy, plus they're easy to make and keep in the freezer.

Here are some egg substitutes: http://gfcf-diet.talkaboutcuringauti...tm#Anchor-eggs I like this resource because it talks about which substitutes work with certain kinds of recipes. If you look at the whole food sub section, not just eggs, you'll get a lot of other good tips, too.

www.buckwheatpete.com also doesn't use yeast in his breads. You have to pay for his e-book for the recipes, but for us, the small amount was worth it. We've been making the English muffins a lot. And I use the same recipe to make pizza dough.

My DS got a mild to black pepper on his food intolerance test (through ALCAT) so he only gets black pepper on his rotation (one day out of four). I am completely amazed though that neither of you came up with dairy since it's the top one.

Was the test for allergies or intolerances?
