Knit shorties/longies with a double layer in the crotch?

Do you know of a pattern, or have you done one yourself, where there are two layers of knitting through the crotch area? I like that my Aristocrats has that. The (purchased, not made by me) single-layer knitted shorties I have just don't seem to cut it so I was going to try to knit the LTK picky pants I have with another layer inside. A total PITA I think to do, but perhaps it will pay off with no leaking. Thoughts?

I think Sheepy Pants offers a double knit option, but, it's for the full pants. Maybe you could just double knit through your child's wet zone. I've actually done this for a soaker. Just used a free pattern and what I could find about double knitting.

Might want to make sure it's the wool and not the diaper with the problem, though, before going through the trouble.

someone on ravelry did do that. It's one of the FO's of the picky pants (or possibly in a curly purly) I can't remember.
