IgG vs IgE

If my dd is reacting to something she is eating and the only signs I can see is eczema, small down turn in appetite, and perhaps a little fussiness, then am I dealing with an IgG allergy as opposed to an IgE allergy? Just curious. She is 2, so I can't ask her how she feels, it is only what I can observe.

Thanks.

For my kids, eczema is an IgE thing. When their eczema was at it's worst, their total IgE counts were insanely high.

Thanks, for some reason that is comforting to me. For some reason, I am more comfortable dealing with IgE than IgG, I guess because IgG seems even more mysterious than IgE.

Those are my ds's exact symptoms to foods--small amount eczema, small down turn in appetite, little fussy--he also gets a little gas. Anyway, he has had SPT twice & RAST & doesn't show any IgE reactions. I've been lead to believe they are IgG reactions which does seem more "mysterious" LOL!

eczema can be either IgE or IgG. With my kids, I had skin prick testing to rule out the IgE. So I'm left with IgG.
