Cant afford cloth :( - Page 2

If you are handy with a sewing machine or know someone who is you can turn your prefolds into prefitteds/fitted diapers

Try this!

prefolds worked for us. in the last year we introduced used commercial fitteds.

try the trading post here @ mothering
diaperswappers.com
orangestarfish.com
maybe the diaperpin.com
or clothdiapernation.com

you don't need to spend $300.00 to catch poop and pee. Sometimes you have to wait until you can locate them though and add in a few at a time.
I personally would not buy china made diapers off of ebay - that is just me. good luck

If some one has already said this just ignore me...
If you have a sewing machine you could easily make your prefolds into fitteds.

Here is a link to a tutorial...
http://www.diapersewing.com/prefold_to_fitted.htm

It would cost you nothing because you wouldn't need to buy a fastener and you could just pin or snappy them on.
Hope that gives you a better option than buying.

I haven't had my baby yet and don't have any experience with these, but I will be ordering them soon. They are called semi-fitteds It seems like a great deal. They have snaps and only $3.99.

I also suggest going used. Craigslist is where I'd start.
A month or 2 ago, I got 18 Fuzzi Bunz and 25 inserts for $30 from a mama who decided she was done CDing. They were boring white and we like something a little flashier, so we traded them all for "better" diapers.
