OMG heartburn!!!

Thread Starter
I have never had problems with heartburn until this pregnancy... But I have had it on and off this time. It has not been bugging me much lately, but today - OMG... This is just ridiculous. I thought that once baby had dropped a bit that heatburn would let up. Does this mean that baby has not dropped like I thought? Or just that i can not eat enchiladas for breakfast lest my entire day be ruined

I've had off and on heartburn all day today too. I also felt like the baby had dropped recently but now I'm wondering if he/she floated back up. I dunno.

until the end

I had acid reflux and back-wash even as I was pushing my baby out. But everything is worth it afterwards.

not in your ddc, but just had to comment when i saw the thread title.

i had the worst heartburn throughout my third trimester. everything gave me heartburn (even water - i swear). i slept sitting up for at least the last month.

the worst heartburn, however, was during labor. at times it was worse than the contractions. amazing how it disappeared as soon as dd was born.

here's hoping you're not suffering for much longer.

My heartburn also went away once he dropped down into a better position. Here is to hoping that your days aren't repeatedly messed up by all day heartburn

I have heartburn 24 hours a day. Diet, activity level, position sleeping - none of it matters. Its just always there. I tried the natural route to get rid of it but I think the only cure is delivery. I do take a Zantac every so often which helps a lot, but I don't like to rely on meds like that to get me through the day.

I believe my baby dropped in the beginning of the last month, but I had heartburn until the end. It was a little better, maybe after he dropped, but it was still there. Tums and I were friends for temporary relief. I'm not a meds person, so most of the time, I would just deal with it, but at night I took tums or during the day if it was so bad that it would make me want to vomit.

For what it's worth, my baby was born with tons of hair.
