I went to the mw yesterday and discussed having my membrane swept (I'm 40 weeks and 5 days, and my in laws are coming today, so I feel kind of bad about prodding him, but I'm ready). We agreed to give it a try if I was dilated enough, and sure enough, I am (I'm 2cm, which is pretty exciting to me because it took 24 hours of labor to get me there with my first). However, when she got her finger in there, she said, "wait a second." She felt around because at first she wasn't sure if she was feeling a face, and she didn't want to do anything if he was face first. Then she started laughing. She pulled back, and explained that the baby tickled her finger and then grabbed it while she was feeling. She said she's only seen one other baby do that in her 14 years of experience. She tried a few more times, but whenever she had her finger in there, the baby wanted to play with it, and she didn't feel safe doing as much as she usually would.
She managed to do enough that I had some cramping and contracting last night, but it didn't lead to a baby coming out. I'm so excited to meet this little guy. He seems to have so much personality, and as the mw said, "he's not a shy baby!"

That's quite the story!
