CNM in blacksburg/having a baby at Montgomery Regional in Blacksburg

not pregnant. just planning ahead. i've always had my children with an OB. I am very pleased with my OB in Roanoke, i just feel that i need something different.

I dont know if im ready for a homebirth, but would still consider it. again, not pregnant yet, so still time to think about this.

I"ve heard good things about Phyllis Turk, a CNM in blacksburg who delivers at montgomery regional. never actually met anyone who delivered with her, though.

is montgomery regional natural birth friendly? do they have tubs? how are the nurses? i live 45mins-1hr away but am willing to travel for quality.

thanks

I don't know about the CNM in Blacksburg but if you think about a homebirth I highly recommend Hannah Mann, CNM of Roanoke. We have used her 3 times and have been very pleased, also know her personally and she is great all around.

My daughter is using Alicia King for a homebirth and also has a back up dr. Alicia is able to order any testing you might want thru the hospital. She is a licensed midwife. If you want to chat e-mail me LDukeK@aol.com I can give you some info.
