I'm taking my 5mo son to his well baby checkup. I know retraction is going to come up, and I am going to stand firm and refuse to let her touch my son's penis. Here's what I've rehearsed in my head:

"Based on all of the information I've read on care of an intact penis, we do not believe that he should be retracted. I don't want his penis touched."

I don't know if that's firm enough, or if she'll just blow me off. She's pretty AP friendly and understanding. Anyway, wish me luck!

Is there a reason why you believe that she would retract your son? I mean, definitely buyer beware and all, but you may be pleasantly surprised. I live in the middle of circ central and my son's doc knows about not retracting and has never even touched my son's penis.

Get even stronger than that. Just say, "Don't touch my son's penis! At all!"

I told a doctor not to retract. He agreed, and then proceeded to.......retract. So, "Don't touch!" is an even stronger message.

Pretty sure the OP has had issue with the dr in the past. Though I could be wrong.
