How old was baby when he/she liked the ergo?

Curious when your baby was comfy in the ergo? I had the ergo when my twins turned 12 months or so and we all enjoyed it. I have an 8 wk old that is not comfy in it yet. Its like his legs are splayed too much even tho I am a small person. I need something tho so that I can leave the house!

Ergo makes an infant insert, I think it's kind of like a fabric taco shell, so that the baby is in more of a cradle position. I used a Moby wrap or a ring sling until DD was about 5 months. Then I used the Ergo or the ring sling until I made my mei tai a few months ago.

my dd was giant at 3 months and liked the Ergo then. She was over 18 lbs at 3 months and 25 inches.....

I think it was a little much on her hips before that.

I have the insert and it isn't comfy for my baby anymore. He seems to squished in there (he is 12+ lbs and 23 1/2 inches at 8 wks) and his long legs were getting the circulation cut off to them (scary purple feet no matter how I adjusted it).

dd1 started liking it around 6 mos. She HATED the insert, was just absolutely miserable but loved the moby. She's 2 now and still loves the ergo.

dd2 just started being okay with it at 7+ mos but she's not really a fan of being worn at all.

A little over 3 mos. He's big, though. His legs couldn't comfortably go wide enough before that.
