Health Care Reform Meeting - Senator Enzi Staff

Wyoming moms in the Sheridan area --

I decided I should 'walk the talk,' and have volunteered to host a health care reform meeting with Senator Enzi's staff in Sheridan for momsrising.org

(If you're not familiar with the organization, it's a progressive online group for family issues like fair pay, etc.)

Anyway, I have a date and time set but not the location yet (since I don't know how many I will have in attendance).

It is July 27th (a Monday) at 3:00 pm.

I would love to have several other moms there who are also interested in a public option with the health care reform package, especially - but any mom who'd like to attend, please let me know!

We have a location - the C-Tel room at Sheridan College.

I just finished a conference call with the other moms coordinating meetings with their senators this coming week or so. It was really inspiring! A mom from Brooklyn, another from CA, VA, etc. Lots of different accents and reasons to be involved in this.

Since there have been a lot of 'views,' I thought I'd update.

The meeting went really, really well! We had 8 in attendance, plus 4 kids. It was a good discussion and I feel like the staffer who was there has new perspectives and will hopefully be able to let Senator Enzi know how much we want/need him to move forward productively with this legislative push.

It went so well, I'm thinking about contacting Senator Barrasso's office and ask him whether he could meet with us in person during this next Legislative Break.

Would love to have some Mothering moms in attendance!
