I usually plant them in the fall, maybe late September or anytime in October would be good for you.

I usually plant a month or two before snow. Late September/Early October. I'm in zone 3.

i just started a thread about this the other day. http://www.mothering.com/discussions....php?t=1111345

i feel there is no wrong time to plant them.. if the ground is not too hard you could plant them now and just make sure you water them to get them established.
